Local SEO

Local SEO services for businesses that live or die by the map pack

For a lot of businesses, three results decide the month. If you're not in the map pack for the searches that matter in your area, you're relying on people scrolling past your competitors to find you. Most don't.

Local SEO is the work of getting into those three results and staying there. It's a different discipline from regular SEO — different ranking factors, different assets, and a Google Business Profile that matters more than most of your website.

What we do differently

Two things, and they’re both about what you can see.

We assess before we quote. A single-location business in a rural county with three competitors needs a fraction of the work a service-area business covering eleven towns against funded competitors needs. Quoting both the same number would mean overcharging one of them.

You get a work log every month. The actual tasks, dated, with links to what changed. Not a rankings graph with nothing behind it. If a month was light because your market didn’t need heavy work, the log says so and we’ll tell you why.

The work

What this actually involves

Your Google Business Profile

Categories, services, service areas, hours, photos, posts, Q&A and the review profile. This is the single highest-leverage asset in local search and the one most businesses set up once in 2019 and never touched again.

Local relevance on your site

Pages that make it obvious what you do and where you do it — service pages that go deep rather than listing everything on one page, and location or service-area pages with genuine content rather than a city name swapped into a template.

Consistency across the web

Your name, address and phone number, identical everywhere they appear. Directories, industry listings, supplier pages, old profiles you forgot about. Inconsistency here quietly suppresses rankings and it's tedious enough that most businesses never fix it.

Reviews, and what you do with them

Volume, recency, velocity, and whether you respond. Reviews influence both ranking and whether someone picks you once they've seen you. Most businesses have no system for asking, which is why they have 14 reviews and the company above them has 90.

Pricing

How this gets priced

There's no price list on our site. Two services in one market and six across forty locations are different businesses to run, so publishing one number would mean publishing the highest one. We assess first, then hand you a written plan with the recommended mix, the timeline and the monthly figure — before you've paid anything.

Fit

Who this is right for

  • ✓Businesses where customers search locally and then call
  • ✓Service-area businesses covering multiple towns
  • ✓Anyone whose average job value is worth more than a month of marketing
  • ✓Multi-location operators managing more than a handful of profiles

Fit

Who this is wrong for

  • ×Businesses with no local search demandIf nobody searches for what you do, local SEO can't create the demand. Paid social or outbound is the honest answer.
  • ×Anyone who needs leads this monthProfile work moves in 30–60 days, rankings in three to six months. If payroll is due, paid search is the right first move, and we'll say so.
  • ×Ecommerce and national brandsDifferent discipline entirely — you want regular SEO, not local.
  • ×Anyone shopping purely on priceThere are $300 packages available. They mostly buy you automated directory submissions and a monthly PDF.

Questions

Common questions

How long does local SEO take?
Google Business Profile changes often show within 30–60 days. Organic and map pack rankings typically take three to six months. Steady, predictable lead volume is a six-to-twelve-month build. Anyone promising month-one results is describing paid ads, not SEO.
How much do local SEO services cost?
It depends on how many areas you're targeting and how much ground there is to make up — which is why we assess before quoting rather than publishing a package. What we can tell you is that anything under a few hundred dollars a month is almost certainly automated directory submissions, not work.
Do I need local SEO if I already rank in Google?
Ranking organically and ranking in the map pack are two different results with different ranking factors. Plenty of businesses hold position 3 organically and appear nowhere in the map — and the map is what most people click.
What's the difference between local SEO and SEO?
Regular SEO targets searches with no geographic intent. Local SEO targets searches where Google decides location matters and shows a map. Different signals, different assets, and your Google Business Profile carries weight that has nothing to do with your website.
Can you guarantee I'll rank in the top 3?
No. Google doesn't sell positions and anyone promising one is either uninformed or hoping you are. What we guarantee is that you'll see every task we do, every month, in writing.
Do you work with my competitors?
No. One business per industry, per market. If we take you on, we turn down the next one who calls, and we'll tell you straight away if your market is already spoken for.
What happens if I stop working with you?
Everything stays yours. Pages are on your domain, your profile is in your account, citations are under your business name. Nothing is held hostage.
